Current information about language lessons at Akademie Zeitgeist

Junior Courses at Akademie Zeitgeist

For many years now the Akademie Zeitgeist has been offering a very successful Junior Program for young people from all over the world. Freiburg, a middle-sized city with its beautiful surrounding countryside and sunny and mild climate is especially suited for this program.

Our German summer language program for children and youths aged 11 -16 years takes place in the months of July and August.

The languages courses employ teaching methods especially suited to the age level of juniors, and our communicative teaching methods ensure a good learning atmosphere and optimal learning progress.

We offer three different language levels:

  • Beginners with prior knowledge (1 – 2 years of German in school)
  • Intermediate level (3 – 5 years of German in school)
  • Advanced level (6 – 8 years of German in school)

In addition to our language instruction, we offer a varied leisure activities program for juniors. Our young, committed male and female group leaders see to it that by means of various sports, activities, excursions and games that our international students quickly get to know one another and have a good time together.

The leisure activities program includes sports such as archery, swimming, canoeing, or rock climbing, but also cultural activities in Freiburg (visits to museums, the cinema, music festivals). On weekends the program offers day-long excursions to the nearby EuropaPark (The second largest theme and amusement park in Europe), to the famous Rhein waterfall, or to the city of Constance on Lake Constance. And at the end of their stay in Freiburg, there is always a wonderful and often emotional final party for all the participants.

The group leaders from the Akademie Zeitgeist are always available for the children and young people to answer their questions or to help them with any problems. The program price includes all entrance fees and a monthly pass for public transport.
